Linksys WUSB54GC windows xp solution

feel unlucky for buying this adapter?
true linksys support sucks and drivers they provide are definitely B.C!
Here's a solution to get it working in xp -
(i was able to get to this from the idea provided in the blog . This site has a solution to get the adapter working in vista)
1. download this or this zip file , it contains modified rt73 drivers (extracted from the latest drivers for USB(RT257x/RT2671) from ralink site )
The modification has been done to rt73.inf file to include the linksys adapter pid in the inf file. The device id of conceptronic device was changed to device id of linksys wusb54gc.This will allow xp to install the conceptronic driver which seems to be working very well this device
2. Install the driver using update driver option from device manager. choose browse to option and browse to the folder containing extracted files from the above zip file.
select the conceptronic device option and click install.

heres another zip file - here or here - having the vista compatible drivers from ralinks site .u should browse to the extracted folder from the update driver option and select conceptronic driver for the device and install it.

do reply with ur xperience on installing the driver and i will b happy to help if u couldnt decipher the above garbage.
just request for a new link if the above links are broken someday.

as the name suggests what?

it means nothing of much
what?
